Nokia Lumia 900 Up For Pre-Order From The Microsoft Store For $25

That’s right the Nokia Lumia 900, that was recently released and still doesn’t have a confirmed launch  price, can now be pre-ordered via a Microsoft store. The LTE beast is is slated to launch on AT&T in march and will compete directly with the HTC Titan II. Unfortunately you need to live near a Microsoft store (which there aren’t many of) in order to take advantage of this deal. Luckily this is one step closer to the actual launch of the device!

Zune 4.8 Software Update Available Now

As one of the last remaining people who support the Zune brand I wanted to pass on an update from Microsoft regarding the Zune. Microsoft has rolled out an update for the Zune software to version 4.8. People who’ve jumped on to the Windows Phone platform know all about Zune and it’s software integration, you need it to run your phone much like iPhone users need iTunes. But for some people out there they’ve never used a Zune or the Zune software it’s a great media managing software package that not only controls all of your media (music, photos, videos, games) but also gives you access to the Zune Marketplace which is where you can buy new media!

Microsoft wraps Windows Phone Mango – RTM out the door

The dark horse in the Mobile OS race is Microsoft with their Windows Phone OS. Their initial launch of the new OS saw solid device and manufacturer support on most mobile operators (other than Verizon). The OS itself is rather solid but there were some key features that were not included in the initial launch that most people chimed in about (copy & paste much). Well Microsoft has been working diligently on updating their Windows Phone OS and the next iteration is close to public consumption. Microsoft announced today that Windows Phone “Mango” has been signed off on and Released to Manufacturing (RTM). With this step complete now manufacturers and carriers have to get their ducks in a row and get some new hardware completed, OS’s flashed and devices into testing.

There is still no “official” time-table for release other than “Fall” but we’re certainly getting closer to a more solid Windows Phone.
