I hadn’t heard of Dimension Drive at all until this morning when I saw this Polygon article, but I’m glad I got a second chance – just like the game did! Dimension Drive is an indie shooter game (a scrolling shooter with a twist – this is not your average galaxian) with a beautiful art style that got screwed on kickstarter in the final hour. This is the game that’s gotten a second chance, and that first troll is getting shown up by the success of it.

When I was a kid, we had this thing called “Computer time” in our elementary school classrooms. Games like Putt Putt, Pajama Sam and Carmen Sandiego were on our computer for us to play with, but only for about a half hour during the day. The best game to play on the computer however, was always Zoombinis. The educational value was there without the overly in-your-face education tactics like games such as Math Blaster had. So when I heard it was coming back, I was an embarrassingly amount of excited.
General Chaos II: Sons of Chaos looks to enlist support through Kickstarter0
If you grew up in the 80’s and early 90’s and had a Sega Genesis then one of the games you should have loved playing was General Chaos. It was a pioneer in squad based action, not to mention completely hilarious and led to hours of arguments with friends. Well, luckily for us, the original developers of the game want to bring back the glory and have gone to Kickstarter to help fund the development of General Chaos II: Sons of Chaos.
