Dimension Drive’s Second Chance

Dimension Drive’s Second Chance

I hadn’t heard of Dimension Drive at all until this morning when I saw this Polygon article, but I’m glad I got a second chance – just like the game did! Dimension Drive is an indie shooter game (a scrolling shooter with a twist – this is not your average galaxian) with a beautiful art style that got screwed on kickstarter in the final hour. This is the game that’s gotten a second chance, and that first troll is getting shown up by the success of it.

Arcade Block: March Unboxing

0

My Arcade Block came and I open it up on camera! What a novel concept.
I might be am getting a little saturated with t-shirts from all my boxes, so I show you a couple of the things I’m doing with them at the end of this video!

Aside from me not knowing much about Farcry and Street fighter, I was pretty happy with my swag.
Did you get this month’s box? What did you think of the stuff inside? Leave a note in the comments.

PAX East 2015: Tabletop Review

So Tabletop has had a sincere rise in popularity over the past few years – probably in part to Wil Wheaton’s fabulous YouTube series inspiring folks to get back into analog gaming, but also due to the resurgence of developers who were interested in challenging the market. PAX East this year had a seriously packed tabletop gaming space, even bigger than the one I saw last year. Less booths, but way way more Magic: The Gathering. I got together a list of games from PAX that I played and would like to play after seeing them on the show floor.

The Zoombini Comeback

The Zoombini Comeback

When I was a kid, we had this thing called “Computer time” in our elementary school classrooms. Games like Putt Putt, Pajama Sam and Carmen Sandiego were on our computer for us to play with, but only for about a half hour during the day. The best game to play on the computer however, was always Zoombinis. The educational value was there without the overly in-your-face education tactics like games such as Math Blaster had. So when I heard it was coming back, I was an embarrassingly amount of excited.
