PowerA makers of the MOGA mobile gaming system made great use of GDC this year by announcing that they're bringing support for their devices to the Windows Phone 8 platform. The MOGA system has been a great addition to any Android gamers arsenal providing console quality controls in a portable package and now Windows Phone 8 users can expect the same benefits.
I've been a fan of the PowerA MOGA system for a while now and I have the standard MOGA controller. It has really helped make a bunch of good games even better, games like Modern Combat 4, and Dead Trigger which I hated having to play with onscreen controls. It's great to see that the gang at PowerA is supporting other platforms with this device, especially Windows Phone 8 because if an OS is going to survive it needs support from Game Developers and Peripheral makers support. A lot of top-notch game developers are already supporting the MOGA controller so hopefully they'll bring their games and MOGA support over to Windows 8.
MOGA is working with developers today to optimize their titles and have them available in the Windows Phone Store. We're encouraging developers to stop by the MOGA booth #1932 to sign up as a developer.
Demos of MOGA Enhanced games on Windows Phone 8 will be shown at the Microsoft Lobby Bar and in the MOGA booth at GDC.
PowerA also announced pricing and availability for the upcoming MOGA Pro, which will retail at $49.99 and ship starting in April
