Baseball season is right around the corner so of course gamers are looking for opportunities to get in on the action on their devices of choice, well there is a new old name in town and it’s R.B.I Baseball back for the 2015 season.

While Playstation gamers have had the amazing MLB The Show series for a while now, gamers on Xbox, PC and mobile have really been lacking in a solid Baseball experience. R.B.I Baseball came back last year after only making two appearances in history, once on the original NES in 1986, and then again on the Super NES in 1995. The 2014 version was more of an arcade style game trying to simplify play back to how it was on the original NES and not directly competing with the graphics, gameplay and mechanics of MLB The Show.

This years entry looks to expand on the initial offering by bringing complete rosters for all 30 teams which were not available in the 2014 version. The graphics have also been enhanced, not t0 the level of MLB The Show but much better than the 2014 version.

It’s still to early to tell if R.B.I Baseball 2015 will have more of an impact than the 2014 version which didn’t really make to much of an impact but MLB Advanced media is not giving up and they’re trying to reach a younger audience and they know that video games are a strong inroad into the market. Hopefully they will continue to provide gamers with a fun and engaging baseball experience and maybe they’re bring us a game that is authentic and has all of the features and options that we really want.

We’ll have to wait and see.
