In the age of internet security Google is trying to help everyone out by reminding you to update your security settings, and if you do, they’re giving you an extra 2GB of storage on your drive account for life.

Pretty great deal for doing something you should already be doing. If you’re not taking advantage of the security tools Google offers you really should especially with all of the apps and connections that you make with your Gmail account.

The process is really simple, you go to Google’s Security check-up, click through a few settings and ensure things are up to date, like device access list, app access list, and login history. Once complete you’ll see the screen below letting you know you’ve complete the setup. Don’t freak out if you don’t see the additional storage added to your account right away Google will be granting the storage automatically to everyone around February 28th and sending out e-mails when the adjustment is complete.
