Today’s announcement by Google was expected due to recent leaks, but getting final confirmation from Google is always a great thing. Google announced their newest version of the Nexus 7 tablet, a refreshed version of the first 7″ Android tablet.
The new tablet specs have increased to make the Nexus 7 once again a leading tablet in the Android space. For starters they’ve made it faster, lighter, and added a better display, but not only that they’ve added dual stereo speakers and additional sensors. This again shows that Google is serious about its Nexus line and wants to continue to push hardware development within the Android ecosystem.

I have been waiting for a refreshed version of the Nexus 7 since mine took an unfortunate spill a few months ago and I destroyed my screen so I’m definitely purchasing this device.
