Ah yes Dropbox, one of the create online file storage and syncing apps out there, how we love you. And well now you’re showing us some love with an early Christmas present in the form of a Beta update to your long-standing Android app.

I’ve been using Dropbox for a while, long before Google Drive and I have to say it is one of my favorite cloud syncing platforms. I have also been using the Android app since launch and as functional as it has been, it has certainly been lacking in the update department (and looks department). Well looks like Dropbox is starting to get back in the game of beefing up their app, and right in time for Christmas yay!

Here’s a copy of the e-mail we just got in our inbox:

Christmas is coming early in Android land! The Dropbox elves have been in the workshop all week preparing this exciting preview release for you.

What’s new:

  • Effortlessly share several of your beautiful photos at once,
  • Organize your favorite photos into albums. You can share them too!
  • Delete multiple photos at once
  • UI improvements and updates throughout
  • Lots of other little tweaks and bug fixes

Additionally, we’re trying something new with this forum build. We’ve added a feature to opt in for future early releases directly through the app. For forum build downloads this feature is on by default so you can easily get updates to the forum build and the final release a bit early. You can also toggle this option on and off in the app’s settings.

Help make this the best Android release yet by sharing your feedback with us. So create some albums and share some photos, and let us know what you think!

Yes lots of overall improvements, and the best part is, early access to future update releases!

Check your in boxes people!
