Activision and High Moon has been teasing us for a while with the upcoming Transformers: War for Cybertron and today they’ve given us an updated release date of 8/21/12. If you’ve been following a long you’ll know that it’s actually a week earlier than originally expected!

The game which is the fourth installment of Transformers games from Activision has been turning heads at every press event it’s shown at and made a huge splash at E3. They’ve released a follow-up trailer to go along with the one released at E3 which just makes the game look even more amazing, check it out below!

Those not fluent with the Transformers games are certainly missing out as the last two have really done a great job mixing the play style of both vehicle and robot to make for some really interesting games. Each one has gotten better and it looks like the Third game will be the best of them all. The game is set during the final days of Cybertron, during the darkest hours of the “apocalyptic” war between Autobots and Decepticons. You get to fight on either side of the war that lead up to the legendary exodus from Cybertron.

Fall of Cybertron also allows players to go head-to-head in Autobot vs. Deceptecon matches using their own custom characters with the “mot in-depth, advanced customization ever before seen in a Transformers game”. Oh and in-case you’re wondering, yes that’s the real Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen)

I’ve already got the game Pre-Order and to be honest, it coming out a week earlier makes it that much harder to wait for!
