Sony just entered the American high-end smartphone market with high-definition splash. Sony announced the Xperia ion its first LTE phone, exclusively for AT&T. The ion is a 4.6 phone with a 1280×720 HD Reality display. The HD doesn’t stop there; it has a 12MP camera capable of 1080p video capture and a front-facing camera that takes 720p video. With so much HD video recording, you better make sure you look good all the time. It runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, has 16GB of built-in flash storage, and is PlayStation certified. The only downside, it ships with Gingerbread. Availability is second quarter of this year.
