Yesterday at CES 2012, LG and Verizon announced the Spectrum by LG. It has a 4.5 inch “True HD” IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, 8MP camera with 1080p video capture, 1.3MP front facing camera, and a 16GB microSD card pre-installed with support for up to a 32GB card. The phone will run Gingerbread but will be upgraded to ICS in “the first half of 2012”. LG states the display uses the same technology found in their premier HD TVs and will have exclusive access to HD (720p) content from the ESPN ScoreCenter app.
The Spectrum will be released on January 19th for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
